REIKI HEALING
What Is Reiki?
Reiki is a gentle Japanese energy healing practice that supports the body's natural ability to restore balance and well-being. The word Reiki translates loosely to 'universal life force energy.' During a Reiki session, the practitioner acts as a channel for this healing energy, directing it where it is needed most.
Clients often experience deep relaxation, emotional release, clarity, warmth, tingling sensations, or simply a profound sense of peace. While Reiki is not a replacement for medical or mental health care, many people find it to be a powerful complement to their overall wellness journey.
Reiki can support:
- Stress reduction
- Emotional processing
- Nervous system regulation
- Spiritual connection
- Relaxation and sleep
- Personal growth and self-awareness
At Anam & Ora, we view Reiki as an invitation for the body, mind, and spirit to return to a more balanced state.

What to Expect During a Reiki Session
Every Reiki experience is unique.
Reiki is a gentle, non-invasive energy healing practice that supports the body's natural ability to restore balance physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. During a Reiki session, the practitioner serves as a channel for universal life force energy, allowing Reiki to flow where it is needed most.
There is no 'right' or 'wrong' way to experience Reiki. Some individuals feel sensations immediately, while others notice subtle shifts during or after the session. Reiki works whether you feel something or not.
During a session, you may experience:
- Deep relaxation
- Warmth or tingling sensations
- Emotional release
- A sense of peace or calm
- Visualizations, colors, or memories
- Increased clarity and insight
- Feeling rested or refreshed afterward
You will remain fully clothed and typically lie comfortably on a treatment table or sit in a chair. The practitioner may place their hands lightly on or just above the body while Reiki energy flows.
Many people describe Reiki as a meditative experience that allows them to slow down, reconnect with themselves, and support their overall well-being.
Reiki is a complementary wellness practice and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or replace medical or mental health care.
Every session unfolds differently, and your experience will be uniquely your own. ✨
